BRANDING & IDENTITY

As I was a Communication Design major at Elon, I am very visually focused and appreciate thoughtful graphics and branding. I believe that strong and cohesive branding decisions can really separate a company from the masses. Here are a few of my designs which I created utilizing Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator. All photographs are mine that I took using my Nikon D3500 & my iPhone 8.

WEBSITE DESIGN

My greatest passion in life is traveling. It was a huge part of my college career and I always wonder how I can best share my experiences with others. For this, my idea was that Elon should create a study abroad page with personal testimonies and photos from previous students. Elon has so many programs to offer it is hard to know how to choose.

All of these photos I took myself, and the copy I took from Elon's current pages on these programs.

HOTEL REBRAND

This assignment was to rebrand the Peacock House Bed & Breakfast in Lubec, Maine. As a class, we spoke with the owner and learned that she wanted to create a new logo that wasn't necessarily a typical beach symbol. That is why I went with the lupine flower that is associated with the area and has the right color scheme, but isn't the classic anchor or seashell.

PACKAGE REDESIGN

This assignment was to redesign a package and label for any product. I chose wine because I feel like packaging for alcohol makes a very big difference. Especially for wine when you have so many options. I thought the original label needed some modernization and something that would stand out so I went with the dramatic branches but all in the gold foil color.

BRAND LOGO

This was my first freelance project, and it was so much fun working with a real client and learning about what makes them who they are and how they could best be represented. When the client saw the logo they were so incredibly pleased. I have since gone in and mocked up some situations in which they can use their new logo.

INVITATION DESIGN

I have always admired invitations but have never tried designing my own. This is my first attempt at designing an invitation and envelope with a specific color scheme and aesthetic. It is a personal project.

POSTER DESIGN

Seeing as I love events and event planning, I wanted to focus one of my designs on an event poster. The US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC has really interesting posters for their events and so I took the opportunity to try and create my own. I created the events and the design and incorporated it onto the map like they do for all their events.

PERSONAL DESIGN

This is a piece I painted in an art class. This piece incorporates many things that are important to me in my life: my home, my school, my town, travel, my pets, food etc. I have since taken it into photoshop and digitized it and reworked its colors and shape. Then I applied it to multiple mediums to see all the ways I could use it.
